Steven J. Kern. M.D.

Steven J. Kern, M.D., F.A.C.S.

Dr. Kern earned his undergraduate degree in biology and his M.D. degree from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. During his residency at the University of Kansas in Wichita, his academic interests included thyroid disease, cardiac trauma, and medical education. Dr. Kern has published several articles on the use of ultrasonography in evaluating trauma patients. He is board certified in General Surgery and is especially interested in the laparoscopic treatment of GERD and endocrine surgery. Dr. Kern’s wife, Anne, is an obstetrician; they enjoy water sports and music with their four daughters.
