| Dr. Batalden graduated with a B.A. from Gustavus Adolphus College and received his M.D. degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School. He completed his surgical residency at Hennepin County Medical Center. Having served as Chief of Staff at both Unity and Mercy Hospitals, he has also been on many hospital and medical boards.
Dr. Batalden is board certified in General Surgery and enjoys the variety and challenges of General Surgery. He and his wife, Carla—an artist and homemaker—have adult twin children and two young children. The Bataldens enjoy biking, hiking, canoeing, and camping.
